Common Questions
If my boiler is not working will i need a replacement?
Modern boilers are highly efficient, but they won’t continue to perform at their best unless you maintain them properly - and this means getting them serviced in line with the manufacturer’s recommendations. If you don’t get the appliance checked over by an engineer on a regular basis, it may under-perform, leaving you facing higher fuel bills.Â
More often than not a new boiler will not be required unless the manufacturer no longer provides the parts required
Are you able to relocate my boiler from its current location?
Relocating a boiler will be a substantial task however this does not mean it cannot be done.
You must keep in mind that to relocate a boiler a manner of minor building works will be required. Carpets and tiles will at times need to be lifted to allow new pipe work to be laid. Upon quotation we will always ensure that you are aware of all works required before committing to your boiler relocation.

SRH Heating Ltd are able to advise you between boiler types and brands that they believe will work well within your home. SRH Heating Ltd can give you information on a number of boiler options that will allow you to make a sound decision on your boiler choice.
Are there any boiler faults that it’s easy and safe to fix myself?
No-one other than a Gas Safe registered heating engineer should ever attempt to fix your boiler; it’s dangerous and it will invalidate your warranty.
However if your boiler has stopped working during the winter months you are able to check the condense pipe (often a small external white pipe that takes condensate from the boiler into an external drain) If this has frozen over due to a cold snap you are able to gentle thaw the internal frost build up and return your boiler back to working order.
